Creative writing is a form of self-expression that can be incredibly rewarding. It can also be a lot of fun, but it takes practice to get good at it.

1. Encouraged me to write for fun

A lot of good writing comes from practice, and what better way to practice than by keeping a journal? My parents bought me journals and pens or pencils so that I could write whenever and wherever I wanted.
