With the 11 + exams for grammar and private schools just weeks away, keeping up the hard work is key for your child’s success. As usual, Geek School Tutoring will be offering a range of 11 Plus courses for children this August.
This course is for Year 5 children and advanced Year 4 children. It will cover English, maths, and verbal and non-verbal reasoning. There will be a strong focus on exam technique, and students who need to focus on curriculum will be split to focus on that also.

Topics Covered
The focus of the intensive will be as follows:
- Verbal reasoning – a focus on vocabulary skills and codes
- Non-verbal reasoning – a focus on harder and more obscure question types.
- Maths – covering the key topics needed to comfortably pass the grammar and independent school exams.
- English – covering comprehension, spelling, grammar and punctuations, along with creative writing.
As usual, the day will be from 9am-5pm, with a break for lunch (please provide a packed lunch for your child).
All resources will be provided for your child – they only need to bring a pencil case.

Online 11 Plus Intensive
In order to support our students who have pre-booked holidays, or who are unable to get to our Beckenham centre, I will also be holding an Online 11 Plus Intensive course in August.
This will be an eight-hour block booking, to enable enough time to cover all the necessary content and revision of the core areas of the 11 Plus exam.
