Year 4 or Year 5, Now Is the Time to Start
The 11 Plus is sat in September, at the very start of Year 6. Wherever your child is now, the smartest first move is the same: find out exactly where they stand today.
In Year 5?
The exams are only months away. This summer is your child’s last full stretch of preparation time, so there is no time to waste in closing gaps and building real exam technique.
In Year 4?
You have a real head start. The families who win places are very often the ones who begin in Year 4, building strong foundations calmly and avoiding the stressful Year 5 scramble.
Most Children Are Not Ready, Even With Tuition
The 11 Plus gets more competitive every year. A place at a grammar or top independent school takes far more than weekly lessons. It takes structure, exam technique and confidence under timed pressure. The first step is knowing exactly where your child stands.
- ✓ Structured, exam-focused preparation with a clear plan
- ✓ Proven technique for timing, accuracy and tricky question types
- ✓ Confidence to perform under pressure on the day
- ✗ Drifting through generic worksheets with no direction
- ✗ Guessing at your child’s gaps without an expert review
- ✗ Leaving it too late to make a difference

You will receive detailed feedback within 24 to 72 hours, including a personal feedback call with our Managing Director, Joycellyn, and clear recommendations for next steps.
Is there any obligation to continue?

The Kent Test, Bexley Selection Test, Sutton SET, CSSE, the Medway Test, ISEB, and the main London grammar and independent school exams.
My child is in Year 4 or Year 5. When should we start?
Now, in both cases. For Year 5 this is the critical window, with the 11 Plus sat this September and the summer your child’s last full stretch of preparation. For Year 4, starting now builds strong foundations early and takes the pressure off the Year 5 run-in. The free assessment shows you exactly where to begin.
