Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I’m eligible for Universal Credit childcare support?
You need to be receiving Universal Credit and working (or have a partner who works) the minimum required hours. Your childcare provider must be registered. Contact your work coach or check your Universal Credit account for specific eligibility criteria.
How do I add Geek School Tutoring as a childcare provider for Tax-Free Childcare?
You’ll need our Ofsted registration details and address. Our team will provide these when you sign up. You can then add us to your Tax-Free Childcare account and set up regular payments.
How do CCG payments work with Geek School?
We provide you with a CCG code to link your child to the Student Finance payment service. Student Finance will pay us directly each week after you approve the payment requests. You’ll pay the remaining 15% via direct debit.
Can I combine different financial support options?
Some schemes cannot be combined (e.g., Universal Credit and Tax-Free Childcare), but you can always combine government support with our sibling discounts and referral programme. Our team will help you find the best combination for your situation.
How does the affiliate referral programme work?
Once you sign up as an affiliate, you’ll get a unique referral link to share with friends. When a parent signs up to tuition with us using your link, both you and they receive a £25 credit on your next invoice. There’s no limit to how many people you can refer!
