11 Plus Tuition Across South London

Geek School Tutoring has two centres in South London - Beckenham (BR3) and Catford (SE6) - plus a full online programme. Since 2014, we have helped more than 1,000 children across South London prepare for the 11+ exam, with a 90 to 100% pass rate for children sitting Kent, Bexley and Medway grammar school exams. We are Ofsted registered, DBS checked and a corporate member of the Tutors’ Association.

South London has some of the most competitive 11+ grammar school catchments in the country. Children in our area are applying to schools with pass marks in the high 80s and 90s out of 100, where the difference between a pass and a fail can come down to a single mark in the creative writing section or a handful of questions in verbal reasoning. That level of competition requires specialist preparation, not generic tuition.

At Geek School, we cover all four 11+ subjects in our small-group programme - English (comprehension, creative writing and essay), maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Our groups are capped at 6 children so every child receives direct attention every session and we can track their progress in detail week to week.

• Small groups mean we spot problems early. With 4-6 children per group, we notice when a child is struggling with a specific question type weeks before the exam, not the week before
• Parents stay informed. We give regular progress updates so you always know where your child stands

Specialist 11 Plus Creative Writing Tuition in South London

If creative writing is where your child loses marks, our specialist 11+ Creative Writing Course covers story writing, persuasive writing, vocabulary and language techniques, and timed practice with detailed written feedback. Our founder Joycellyn developed this programme from her experience as a journalist and 11+ specialist - it is unlike anything you will find at a general tutoring centre.
