11+ Kent Grammar Schools

Kent grammar schools are quite popular amongst families living in the Kent and Southeast London areas. At Geek School Tutoring, we have a lot of success helping children pass the Kent 11 Plus selection tests.

Kent is the largest 11 Plus county in the country, with 35 selective schools (grammar) schools, and four partially selective schools. Unusually, Cranbrook School only has a point of entry for children who are aged 13 years. However, it allocates 30 places for Year 7 entry places.

Parents can register their child to sit the Kent selection tests (the exam) through online registration.

Kent grammar selection tests use GL papers. Kent GL scores are standardised according to each child’s age. If there is a gap of a year in the ages of two children, the older child would have to score more than 10% to the other child to achieve the same result as the younger child, due to Bexley’s age standardisation of scores.
