40 places per session. Every session is recorded, so register even if you cannot attend live.
What we cover
Every session covers the same ground, so come to whichever one suits you. It runs sixty minutes on a Tuesday and ninety on a Saturday, with time for questions at the end.
- When the 11 Plus is actually sat. You register in the summer term of Year 5. Your child sits the paper in the opening weeks of Year 6. Most parents do not know this, and it changes everything about when you start.
- How many lessons your child has left. A child starting in Year 3 gets around 114 weekly lessons before the paper. Year 4 gets 76. September of Year 5 gets 38. Same paper.
- What the competition really looks like at St Olave’s, Newstead Wood, Bexley and the Kent grammars, using the schools’ own published admissions numbers.
- Every independent school registration deadline for 2027 entry in South London, in one diary you can take away.
- What school will never teach. Verbal and non-verbal reasoning are not in the national curriculum and are on almost every paper.
- How we work at Catford, at Beckenham and live online, and what a week of tuition actually looks like.

These are the schools’ own numbers, not ours.
In Bexley, 2,070 children passed and 800 places exist. More than 1,200 children reached the standard and still did not get a grammar place.

Who is running it
Joycellyn Akuffo, Founder and Managing Director of Geek School Tutoring. She sat the 11 Plus herself and went to an independent school, so she has been on both sides of this process.
